Chris Geissler - Chair
Chris is a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting where he advises life sciences clients on sales and marketing capabilities including multi-channel marketing, digital strategy, and business intelligence. Within Deloitte, he is active in many internal firm initiatives that focus an area he is very passionate about; coaching and developing junior staff.
Within the community, Chris sits on the Village of Barrington’s Architecture Review Commission, the Entrepreneurs’ Eve Planning Committee, and has previously been involved with Warren Township High School’s (Gurnee, IL) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, Operation Homefront – Illinois, and several committees within St Paul UCC (Barrington, IL).
Politically, Chris has been active including his own congressional bid in 2010, as a Precinct Committeeman with Barrington Township Republican Organization, supporting numerous local candidates, and was an Advisory Board Member to the Chicago Young Republicans.
Chris is a proud Illini earning a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois and earning an MBA in International Business from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management for which he studied at Cambridge and Business School Sao Paulo. He resides in Barrington with his wife, Natalie, and their two young daughters.
Collin Corbett is the founder of Cor Strategies, an innovative political solutions company that has served over 300 right-of-center candidates and 100 businesses/organizations to date. He lives in Palatine with his wife, Abbey, and their rescue dog, Dustin.
Collin is dedicated to recruiting, training and electing the next generation of right-of-center leaders in Illinois. He has founded numerous political organizations in Chicagoland including NXTgen Illinois, the Palatine Township Republican Organization, and the Lake County Young Republicans. He is a trainer for the Leadership Institute and is a frequent guest speaker for area high school government classes and civic organizations. Through his political activity, he has recruited and trained over one thousand right-of-center candidates and activists.
He serves as a mentor to up-and-coming entrepreneurs through True Mentors and local high school students through the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. In 2015, he received The Outstanding Young Person of Illinois Award from the Palatine Jaycees, and in 2013 he was named one of Illinois Conservatives’ “30 Under 30.”
Angel Garcia received his law degree from the John Marshall Law School, and his MBA from the Brennan School of Business. Angel began his career at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he worked on the trading floor and later in the Market Regulation department.
Today, he runs his own law and consulting firm. As an attorney, he counsels his clients on criminal and civil matters. In addition to his work in law, Angel has been active in politics, working on various campaigns including local, U.S. Senate, gubernatorial campaigns. Angel has been instrumental in building GOP and Liberty minded organizations including the Chicago Young Republicans, the Republican National Hispanic Assembly and the John Marshall Law School Federalist Society. Additionally, he was elected as a delegate for Mitt Romney. Angel has been a political commentator on various networks including Telemundo and Univision.
Angel currently serves the residents of Illinois as a statewide commissioner, for the Illinois Latino Family Commission. Angel grew up in Chicago, in the South Chicago neighborhood and currently lives in the neighborhood of McKinley Park.
Mike Koolidge is the host and owner of The Michael Koolidge Show, LLC, the only statewide-syndicated radio show in Illinois (and one of the few statewide-syndicated shows of its kind in the nation). The show has been on the air since June of 2006, boradcasting now on ten total stations in Illinois (Rockford, Springfield, Decatur, Bloomington, Kankakee, Joliet, DeKalb, Rochelle and Quincy) at various times throughout the day (including prime-time drive on some stations), seven days a week. He is passionate about state and national politics, small business issues, personal responsibility and fiscal discipline/pension reform, as well as national defense/veterans issues. More than anything else, he is committed to moving the political pendulum back to the Right in Illinois.
A former Army captain, Mike served in the very beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom (in Kuwait and Iraq) for the last year of his 6 years of active duty (1997-2003). He is no longer in the Army or reserves, but speaks regularly on his radio show with soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in Afghanistan (and previously in Iraq).
Politically, Mike has experience managing a Cambridge, Massachusetts city council campaign and worked during his undergrad years at Boston University for the Massachusetts Republican State Committee, where he volunteered on various campaigns, including two U.S. Senate campaigns and a governor's race. He's also a Morton Blackwell Leadership Institute graduate. Mike is currently a Republican precinct committeemen in Ogle County and is active locally on various community charity boards, as well as Westminster Presbyterian church in DeKalb. He also has a Master of Science in Communication degree from Northwestern University.
A big sports fan, Mike roots hard for the Bulls & Blackhawks, with some attention paid to the Bears, White Sox and Cubs as well (and also the Mets and Jets for some reason). Mike and his wife Joan moved to Rochelle in 2006 after living for the better part of a decade in Chicago, where Mike began his radio career as a producer at WGN. Mike manages a fast-pitch softball team in Sycamore every summer and is an avid golfer and tennis player.
Laura Kotelman has a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Lake Forest College where she was the College Republicans chapter president for two terms. After a year with the Illinois State Senate Republican staff, she attended the University of Illinois College of Law where she was elected to the University Senate.
After law school, Laura worked for the Illinois Attorney General in policy and program development and went on to represent more than 1,000 insurance companies as senior counsel and regional government affairs manager at a major insurance trade association. She then spent a decade with one of the world’s premier law firms working in business development. She directly supported the global insurance and financial services practice and led a team of four business development professionals in Chicago and Washington, D.C. She left her post as Associate Director of Business Development to join Governor Rauner’s Administration in January 2016.
Laura is currently Chief of Staff for the Illinois Department of Insurance, a state regulatory agency with 260 employees and an annual budget of $54 million. She acts as a senior policy advisor and manages both internal- and external-facing strategic initiatives as assigned by the Acting Director.
Laura was chosen by American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) to travel with an exchange delegation to New Zealand and served as an exchange escort to Croatia and Hungary. She serves on the board of the Chicago Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy and the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service Series.
Andrew Magliochetti is a Managing Director of Maroon Capital Group, an international finance and operations advisory firm, and a Director with Jameson Commercial Real Estate, a Chicago-based commercial real estate firm. Andrew has fourteen years of principal and advisory experience in real estate investment, finance, and development. He has worked as a consultant to numerous governments, investment funds, and international corporations in finance- and security-related matters.
Over a ten year period, Andrew has served on the finance and policy committees of a number of national political organizations and campaigns. Currently, he is engaged in the development of quantitative analysis applications for voter and donor identification.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ohio University and a master’s degree in Homeland Security and Defense, summa cum laude, from Penn State University. He is presently a concurrent candidate for master’s degrees in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and Finance from Penn State University.
In addition to his duties with NXTgen, Andrew is also a board member of The Disabled Patriot Fund, an organization that provides emergency assistance to the families of active and veteran service members. Andrew has been a resident of Chicago for fifteen years and currently lives in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.
Lauren Shiliga currently serves as the Director of Local Government in the Illinois Office of the Comptroller where she oversees the statutory financial reporting requirements and transparency initiatives for more than 8,000 local governments in the state of Illinois.
Lauren began her career in public service as a James Dunn Fellow in the Illinois Office of the Governor where she advanced the Governor at official events and worked on developing the First Lady’s statewide initiatives. Since then she has served in various capacities in the public and private sectors in elections administration, public policy, public affairs, data analysis and on multiple state and federal political campaigns.
Her volunteer efforts include the Salvation Army of Waukegan (IL), the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County (IL), including the founding of the Young Professionals Board. She previously worked with special needs children in AmeriCorps National Service and published a photo-essay on the plight of the homeless in east Texas in support of the Smith County Homeless Coalition (TX).
Lauren is currently pursuing graduate studies in Government Analytics at Johns Hopkins University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Business from the University of Texas at Tyler. She and her husband Jason reside in Lombard, Illinois, with their black Labrador retriever, Madison.
Kristy is the Downstate Director for the Office of the Illinois Comptroller, representing Comptroller Leslie Geissler Munger in the southern region of the State of Illinois. She has served as the Treasurer of the City of Metropolis since 2004 and is an appointee to the Massac Metropolis Port District. Prior to her current positions, she served as counsel for the Illinois Development Finance Authority from 1998 – 2003, and as an assistant attorney general from 1997 – 1998.
Stephenson graduated from Eastern Illinois University with degrees in political science and history. She received her law degree from Southern Illinois University. Kristy also is a 2011 graduate of the Illinois Excellence in Public Service Lincoln Series.
Kristy is active in community service, serving as vice chairman of the Massac County Community Mental Health Board and Tri-chair for the Shawnee Alliance for economic and community development. She is also active in the Metropolis Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce.
Kristy and her husband Barry live in Metropolis with their two sons. They enjoy traveling, golf, and supporting their kids in numerous sporting activities. The family are active members of the First United Methodist Church
Nina Verghese is a public affairs and public relations specialist with experience in developing relations and public affairs campaigns on behalf of a variety of companies including non-profits, trade organizations and Fortune 500 companies.
Her experience includes several years at global public relations and communications firm Burson-Marsteller and in a variety of political and campaign related positions in Washington, DC.
Originally from the Washington DC area, Verghese graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she double-majored in history and political science, played on the college tennis and was member of the honors program. Her charitable activities include volunteering at soup kitchens and food banks and serving on the board of a start-up. She is very interested in advancing economic and academic opportunities for underprivileged children through mentorships.
In her free time Verghese can be found participating in just about anything athletic, studying Spanish, taking classes at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, enjoying a good book and working to improve her cooking skills.
Kristin Williamson, Urbana, Illinois, is public relations executive, former candidate for the Illinois House of Representatives and Illinois Lincoln Series for Public Service Fellow.
